记性不好的爷爷 Poor Memory Grandpa
yé yé jì xìng bù hǎo ， zǒng shì wàng dōng wàng xī ， 爷爷记性不好，总是忘东忘西，
Grandpa has a poor memory; he often forgets things here and there.
xiǎo wū guī shì yé yé zuì téng ài de sūn zi ， xiǎo wū guī shǔ jià dào yé yé jiā lái dù jià ，
小乌龟是爷爷最疼爱的孙子，小乌龟暑假到爷爷家来度假，
Little Turtle is Grandpa's most beloved grandson, and during summer vacation, Little Turtle comes to Grandpa's house for a holiday.
xiǎo wū guī xiǎng chī táng guǒ ， yú shì yé yé chū mén qù gěi sūn le mǎi ài chī de táng guǒ 。
小乌龟想吃糖果，于是爷爷出门去给孙了买爱吃的糖果。
Little Turtle wants to eat candy, so Grandpa goes out to buy his favorite candies.
gāng chū mén méi zǒu duō yuǎn ， yé yé jiù wàng jì le yào mǎi shén me ，
刚出门没走多远，爷爷就忘记了要买什么，
Not far from home, Grandpa forgets what he was supposed to buy.
yú shì yòu fǎn huí qù wèn xiǎo wū guī ，
于是又返回去问小乌龟，
He returns and asks Little Turtle.
xiǎo niǎo guī shuō 。 “ yé yé zhēn bèn ， shì táng guǒ 。 ”
小鸟龟说。“爷爷真笨，是糖果。”
Little Turtle says, "Grandpa, you are silly. It's candy."
guī yé yé yǒu xiē xiū sè de yòu zǒu chū le mén ， yǐ miǎn zhè cì wàng jì ，
龟爷爷有些羞涩的又走出了门，以免这次忘记，
Grandpa, feeling a bit embarrassed, goes out again. To avoid forgetting this time,
guī yé yé xiě zài le shǒu bì shàng ， guī yé yé zǒng suàn shì mǎi dào le táng guǒ
龟爷爷写在了手臂上，龟爷爷总算是买到了糖果，
he writes it on his arm. Finally, Grandpa manages to buy the candies.
kě shì tiān shàng tū rán xià qǐ le dà yǔ ， bǎ guī yé yé shǒu shàng de zì chōng xǐ méi le
可是天上突然下起了大雨，把龟爷爷手上的字冲洗没了，
However, suddenly, it starts raining heavily, washing away the writing on Grandpa's arm.
guī yé yé zǒu dào yī kē dà shù xià duǒ yǔ 。
龟爷爷走到一棵大树下躲雨。
Grandpa takes shelter under a big tree.
yǔ tíng le ， guī yé yé wàng le wàng dì shang lán zi lǐ de táng guǒ ， xīn xiǎng “ yí ? zhè shì shuí diū de táng guǒ ？
雨停了，龟爷爷望了望地上篮子里的糖果，心想“咦?这是谁丢的糖果？”
When the rain stops, Grandpa looks at the candies in the basket on the ground and wonders, "Hmm, whose candies are these?"
” guī fǔ yé dà shēng de hǎn zhuó ， kě shì jiù shì méi yǒu rén lái rèn lǐng ， guī yé yé zhǐ hǎo bǎ táng guǒ dài huí jiā ，
龟釜爷大声的喊着，可是就是没有人来认领，龟爷爷只好把糖果带回家，
He shouts loudly, but no one comes forward to claim them. Grandpa has no choice but to bring the candies home.
xiǎo wū guī kàn jiàn yé yé bǎ táng guǒ shí le huí lái ， kāi xīn de chī le qǐ lái
小乌龟看见爷爷把糖果实了回来，开心的吃了起来，
When Little Turtle sees Grandpa returning with the candies, he happily starts eating.
xiǎo wū guī shuō ： “ yé yé zhēn hǎo ， bù guò wèi shén me yé yé chū qù mǎi táng guǒ huì zhè me màn ？
小乌龟说：“爷爷真好，不过为什么爷爷出去买糖果会这么慢？
Little Turtle says, "Grandpa is so kind, but why did it take so long for Grandpa to buy the candies?"
guī yé yé zhè cái zhī dào ， yuán lái táng guǒ shì zì jǐ mǎi de 。
龟爷爷这才知道，原来糖果是自己买的。
It is only then that Grandpa realizes he had bought the candies for himself.
